6.6kv Diesel Genset

6.6kV diesel generator sets are used in large industrial systems to provide power input for long-distance or high-load motor systems. 

Low cable cost

The 6.6kV output voltage reduces current for the same power (approximately 1/15 of a 0.4kV system), allowing for a smaller cable cross-sectional area.

Low losses

High-voltage transmission reduces line current, with line losses decreasing by I²R. Over power supply distances of several kilometers, the voltage drop is lower than in low-voltage systems.

Direct matching

The 6.6kV output can be directly matched with medium-voltage motors (pumps, fans, etc.), avoiding step-up/step-down transformers and reducing one layer of transformer losses in the system structure.

Fast-acting protection

Matching vacuum circuit breakers typically have a breaking capacity of 25–50kA at medium-voltage levels, utilizing arc-extinguishing chambers to quickly interrupt short-circuit current.

Large-scale industrial manufacturing systems: Used in metallurgical, chemical, and heavy manufacturing equipment, directly driving 6.6kV motor loads.

Mining and extraction systems: Used in crushers, conveying systems, and large pumping stations for long-distance power distribution.

Water treatment and pumping station systems: Used in large water plants and drainage systems, reducing transformer requirements through medium-voltage power supply.

Long-distance distributed power systems: Used in oil fields, ports, and large industrial parks for power transmission over distances of several kilometers.
